Is Your Lifestyle Good For You?

One of my bug bears about all these new genetic tests that you can get done is that it sets in stone people’s minds about who they are, what they can achieve and who they can become, based on what their genetics say.

But the reality is that our genes don’t predict our future, they just give us an idea of what may come to pass if we choose to adopt less than healthy habits in our lives.

We are more in control of our destiny than we are allowed to believe, I’m sure by now you’ve heard of epigenetics which relates to our ability to turn genes on and off depending on our behaviors and environments.

Bruce Lipton also wrote an amazing book called ‘The Biology of Belief’ which proves that through our own thoughts, words and actions we can directly effect our own personal biology.

Contrary to what mainstream science and the powers in control of the world right now will have you believe, you are NOT just a sack of genetic material who’s life is pre-determined by what others say you should be.

YOU, yes I’m speaking to YOU, are a creative being of infinite potential, who has the POWER to create the body, the life and the world that you want to see.

“Your genes may load the gun, but your lifestyle pulls the trigger.”

We are all blessed or hindered with an infinite array of genetic combinations within the body.

We can then look at trends and generalizations that may lead us on average to a predicted outcome, but that outcome is not a certainty. It’s not certain than just because you have a gene that makes it harder to lose weight, gain muscle or the possibility of contracting an illness that it will definitely happen.

It is the through the daily behavioral habits and lifestyle choices that we adopt that determine who and what we will become.

So step forward into a world that you create by choice not circumstance, it’s yours to choose.
