I was confronted with these little balls of awesomeness after a deadlift workout (chalk on hands to prove it) and boy was I pleased I found them!
The whole protein ball market seems to have exploded recently and unfortunately with many brands the CTBR (Cost To Ball Ratio) is not favourable and then my second annoyance is usually when I pick up a packet only to find there’s some kind of dairy in them.
On both of these fronts The Protein Ball Company wins, with 6 mini balls to a packet and two Vegan options to choose from, woop woop I’m a happy Plant Powered Snacker.
The two Vegan flavours in their range are:
Goji and Coconut
Ingredients: Pitted Dates, Date Syrup, Cashew Butter, Goji Berries (9%), Dessicated Coconut (9%), (8%) Pea Protein, Hemp Protein, Rice Protein, Cacao Powder, Chia Seeds.
Lemon and Pistachio
Ingredients: Pitted Dates, Cashews, Pistachios, Dessicated Coconut, Fruit Juice Concentrate, Rice Protein, Pea Protein, Poppy Seeds, Natural Lemon Flavouring.
As you can see both products contain nothing but all natural ingredients and the fact they both come with a blend of plant based proteins is awesome to hear for all us Plant Powered People out there, ensuring a more complete range of essential amino acids.
The lovely peeps at The Protein Ball Company sent me a box full of their whole range to try but out of the range of six flavours unfortunately only these two flavours are vegan and purely plant powered, so alas I had to give the rest away bad for me but great for my clients!
Anyway I give these guys a 8/10 for creating an awesome tasting product that really fills that quick post workout need for protein and carbohydrates, the only reason they didn’t get a 10 was because I’d love to see a wider all vegan range as the future is Plant Powered!
Thanks for reading your attention is my nutrition.
