People with high spiritual health often have their ideas clearly defined, like their purpose in life, their beliefs, and their morals, and they practice compassion for other beings and the Earth

What is spiritual health, what does it mean to be spiritual?

Connecting with your own individual spirit – It is non religious, connecting with who you are, what makes you tick, what you want to be or do with your life, without external influences or dogma.

Self Love and Acceptance – Learning to love, accept and embrace who you are is key to living your life freely and harnessing your creative power.

Self Exploration – Challenging your mind, body and spirit, going out into the world and testing your abilities to learn new skills, explore new experiences and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, enabling you to learn more about who you are, your likes, dislikes, strength and weaknesses…Feel the fear and do it anyway. Get to know yourself.

Become Your Most Authentic Self – It’s all about Progress not Perfection but striving to make decisions and actions based on who you authentically are, once you start acting from your inner truth, your world and everything in it will unfold beautifully and perfectly for you.

This video is an hilarious look at spirituality and the dogma one can get wrapped up when following the path, like anything in life it’s very easy to get caught up in ‘Spiritual Glamour’ and miss the point of it all together.

One of my favorite books to keep revisiting if ever I feel like I am a bit of center is The Book of Dharma.

It’s a great addition to your book shelf to help remind you of what’s really important in life, especially when you start questioning things, I’ll leave you with this exert…

“We spend most of our life putting off life. We are so busy getting ready to live that we hardly have time left to live. Working tirelessly, we suffer many inconveniences and indignities to pursue a set of dreams, which we imagine will make us happy. These dreams, we quite often believe, lie just around the corner, within fairly easy grasp. But in pursuing the horizon, all we ever find is more horizon.”
